I Am Dog Tired!!!

I am not complaining, just stating a fact. I have been working from sun up to sun down. I have been cleaning, packing, and moving!!!
It is such a blessing to have a day of rest.
Actually we worked well past sun down. Last night we got home at 10:30 pm and then realized we had quite a bit of work here to prepare properly for the Sabbath!

Need some advice

I heard a few years ago that green had become a neutral color. What is your opinion? Is there a shade of green that is a neutral color? If one were to put a supposed neutral green carpet into their home, would it not be out of date in 5-10 years?

What shade is that neutral green, if there is such a color?

Here it is Jenn!

1-Link to the person who tagged you and post these rules on your own post...

2-Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog- some random- some weird.

3-Tag 7 people at the end of your post-leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.

4-Comment to the people you tagged and let them know they've been tagged.

Here are mine:

1. I have a fear of large crowds. I can handle church but struggle with church activities. I think that is because church is very structured and you do not have to talk to anyone if you do not wish to. I freak at activities because you are thrown in a large room with lots of people and have to strike up a conversation with someone. I would much rather have to speak in Stake Conference than try to socialize at a random activity. Funny thing is I enjoy Small parties.

2- I wish I had eloped.

3- I loved playing "Secret Agent" with my best friend Heather Howell in third grade. How to play: Sneak around public places (hotels were best) and avoid being seen.

4- David makes the best steaks(I wrote this for you Jenn:)! They are so good that Bryce almost worships them. He wants to have a steak house when he grows up and if he can make them like his dad I am sure he will be successful. I however want Bryce to be a History Professor. Bryce LOVES history (like his mom) and he has a knack for teaching (like his dad).

5- Bugs usually don't bug me, nor do snakes, lizards, spiders etc. I guess one advantage to having boys. However one time last year I was mopping and found a HUGE spider which I killed promptly (I kill spiders because of the worry of poisonous spiders biting my children, call me a mother grizzly bear). As soon as I killed it, 100 baby spiders went running in a million different directions. This did put me over the edge and I freaked a bit. Other than that I do OK. Even the three black widows we have found in our home recently have not rattled me.

6- I had a dream last night that I was showing my mom and my sister homes that were for sale. The problem was I was not a Realtor (which I am not) and I did not have permission to be in the homes. The first home, we had to sneak out of before the owners discovered us. I made it out but my mom did not. The second home Mechelle and I did not make it out. However it was Harrison Ford, Steve Murphy and some other celebrity who caught us. They talked to us like it was normal for us to be in their home. Then they asked Mechelle what her name was and she said Julie W.

7- In 8Th grade I was voted best looking not because I was especially pretty but because I went through puberty especially early and was especially endowed. It was very humiliating for me. I have since lost most of that anatomy due to breast feeding. I love it, David mourns it:)

I don't like tagging people so no pressure...

Here are some photos of the inside!

Just a few pictures of the inside. I need to take some more of the downstairs and such. This week is a BUSY week of deep cleaning, painting, and packing. Fun times!

God IS a God of Miracles!

We are under contract to buy a home. After two years of searching it has finally happen. As long as the home inspection and appraisal all go well we should be home owners by the end of this month.

From now until we gain right of occupancy will probably feel longer than the last year and half. If nothing else I will have learned patience and all things come to pass in the Lord's time through this experience.

The home is only two blocks away from where we live. The boys will be able to continue going to the same school. YEAH! We will move to a new ward which is disappointing but we are in Utah. Odds were not good that we would be able to stay in the ward. Even though we did try to stay, sometimes it is just not the Lord's will. The good news is that I will be in my cousin and aunt's ward.

I am so thankful that the boys will be able to keep the friends they have acquired. I am so thankful to be in a home for the holidays. I am so thankful to have access to my canning supplies again. I may even be able to do some canning although it will be late in the year.

Since almost all that we own has been in storage for the past year and half. I have had to buy some duplicates of kitchen items. I said that I would have enough for two homes by the time we buy a home. The marvel of it all is that I will have two kitchens in this home. I will be set up for the second kitchen!

The Lord IS in charge!

PS I have been waiting to get pictures to post this but if I wait any longer we will have moved in by the time I figure out how to download the photos.

Me & My family

October 12, 2008

Last weekend we discovered this beautiful spot up in Hobble Creek Canyon. The trees and their fall colors, the creek and the mountains makes for a fun time and a picture moment. We had to go back up yesterday afternoon.

Here are pictures of each one of us. I am shocked by the lines on my face. I am not getting any younger. Love the messy hair?

I can not wait to take Mechelle up there. She will LOVE all the picture opportunities. We sure do.

I look forward to many picnics along the creek and campfires at night. I just wished we had discovered them a little earlier in the year. Something to look forward to.
